STAP VERDER

St. Pastoral Diaconal Center Bijlmermeer
(SPDCB)

The SPDCB was founded by six churches in Amsterdam Zuidoost who jointly used one church building: De Nieuwe Stad Church Center in Amsterdam Zuidoost, at 11 Luthuliplein, in the Guldenkruis district. Those six churches are:

• Moravian Church Zuidoost (EBG)

• Evangelical Lutheran Congregation, Brandpunt Zuidoost (ELG)

• Persekutuan Kristen Indonesia (PERKI)

• Presbyterian Church of Ghana Emmanuel Congregation (PCG)

• Protestant Municipality of Amsterdam Zuidoost (PGZO)

• Roman Catholic Parish De Graingrain (RC)

The EBG has since moved into its own church building: Wi Eegi Kerki at Kortvoort 73, 1104 NA Amsterdam Zuidoost.

Management
The board of the SPDCB currently consists of five people:

• Jaap Ruijgers, chairman 

• pastor Albert Koot, secretary (RK)

• Errol Toendang, Vice Secretary (ELG)

• Geert-Jan Meijerhof, treasurer

• Frans Mulders, Society of African Missions

Diaconal Deliberation

In terms of content, two members from each church think along with the board about policy development, the projects and activities that will be carried out in Stap Verder. They do this in the Diaconal Council, which meets twice a year.
