Legal consultation
Some legal questions cannot be easily answered by employees of the social office hours. Complicated questions, for example about residence permits, benefits, employment contracts, name changes, or questions about family law.

Stap Verder therefore offers a free legal consultation hour in which you can put your questions to a lawyer. You can submit your problem or question, and the lawyer will provide you with the best possible information in a short time. If it becomes clear that your problem requires more extensive advice or a procedure, then the lawyer can guide you from his own law firm.
The lawyers
The Legal Consultation is provided by lawyers from Law Firm De Binnenstad. This office is a well-known office in Amsterdam that specializes in providing legal aid to people with little or no money.
The two lawyers you can speak to at the legal consultation hour are specialized in the legal problems of migrants.

These lawyers are independent. They don't belong to the government. All conversations are confidential. The lawyers will not tell others what they have discussed with you unless you give your consent.

The Legal Consultation takes place on every second Wednesday of the month from 14:00 to 16:00
You are always welcome at this consultation hour. It is not necessary to make an appointment, but you can register for the consultation hour.
Keep in mind that you may have to wait a while before you can talk to the lawyer.
